Breakfast Smoothie/ Snack

Our children love their shakes and smoothies. Seeing the different colors we create makes them light up. Even more so when they're involved in making them. They've been requesting green smoothies for a little while now so I had to oblige. It is quite filling yet easy on digestion and a great pick-me-up. This can be eaten as breakfast or snack.

Ingredients:

7 Cups of frozen mangos

2 Kale leaves

1/4 - 1/2 Cup of oats

2 Tablespoons of sea moss

1 Tablespoon of almond butter

1 Teaspoon of vanilla

1 Teaspoon of moringa

1/2 Teaspoon of spirulina

4 dates

1 Tablespoon of chia seeds

1 Tablespoon of hemp seeds

A sprinkle of sunflower seeds

1/2 Teaspoon of frozen raspberries

4 Cups of almond milk (or any dairy free milk)

1 1/2 Cups of apple juice

Instructions:

Blend mangos, kale, almond butter, vanilla, moringa, spirulina, dates, sea moss, almond milk and apple juice in a high speed blender. Pour out smoothie into a cup or jar half way then pour the remaining oats on top. Fill the rest of the jar with smoothie. Top with raspberries, chia, hemp and sunflower seeds.

*Note: Everything can be blended up all together.
