  1. In a large pot, combine sea moss and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until sea moss has dissolved.

  2. Add burdock, celery, onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir in tomatoes, kale or spinach, basil, and oregano. Cook for another 5 minutes, until greens have wilted.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.


Creamy Sea Moss and Mushroom Soup


This delicious, creamy soup combines the health benefits of sea moss with the rich, earthy flavors of mushrooms for a truly satisfying plant-based meal.



Ingredients:


  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup sea moss

  • 6 cups vegetable broth

  • 1 lb mixed mushrooms (such as portobello, cremini, and oyster), sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or cashew milk

  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast

  2. In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms, onion, and garlic over medium heat until tender and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add the sautéed mushroom mixture to the pot with the sea moss broth. Stir in almond or cashew milk and nutritional yeast, then simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.


Spicy Sea Moss Lentil Soup


This warming, spicy soup combines protein-packed lentils with sea moss for a filling and nutritious plant-based meal. Adjust the heat level to your preference by using more or less chili powder.


Ingredients:


  • 1/2- 3/4 cup soaked and rinsed sea moss

  • 6 cups vegetable broth

  • 1 ½ cups dried green or brown lentils, (presoaked at least 8hrs, rinsed and drained)

  • 1 cup chopped onion

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp chili powder (or to taste)

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions:


  1. In a large pot, combine sea moss and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until sea moss has dissolved.

  2. Add lentils, onion, and garlic to the pot. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until lentils are tender.

  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, and paprika. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes, allowing flavors to develop.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.
